Wilton Circle Press
Wilton Circle Press publishes books and creates products related to Mary Sidney, the Countess of Pembroke, as well as the Shakespearean works.
Wilton House is the name of the estate where Mary Sidney gathered writers like Spenser, Greville, Daniel, Drayton, Breton, Watson, and Fraunce. They dedicated their efforts to what they saw as the betterment of English literature. For almost two decades, from about 1590 to 1610, Mary Sidney and the informal Wilton Circle became one of the most dynamic cultural influences in late Elizabethan England, and at the center of Wilton's life were her writings.
In honor of Mary Sidney's progressive role in letters, we named this small publishing company after her cultivated coterie, Wilton Circle.
